What is the Ford College Student Recognition Program?

The Ford College Student Recognition program is Ford’s way of helping college and trade school students achieve their goals. It takes a lot to attend college. Although it’s absolutely worth it, between books, tuition, and supplies, the time and money commitment is huge. Ford strives to alleviate some of the strain of being a college student by helping students find reliable transportation at a reasonable price. The Ford College Recognition Program is just one way they do that. The program offers college and trade school students $750 towards the purchase of an eligible Ford vehicle and the ability to defer the first payment for up to 90 days for qualifying buyers. For those that choose to lease, the program offers a $500 cash reward at the time of signing.

Who is Eligible for the Ford College Student Recognition Program?

The Ford College Student Recognition program is geared toward rewarding the diligent effort of college and trade school students. The following students are eligible for the program.

• Active College or Trade School Students – Students must be enrolled full-time or half-time at an accredited four-year college or university, junior college, trade school, or community college.
• Active Graduate Students – Students must be enrolled in an accredited Graduate School program.
• Recent Graduates and Alumni – Students who have graduated in the last two years.
• Incoming College Freshmen – High school seniors or recent high school graduates with a letter of intent to attend an accredited college or university. Students must have completed all requirements for high school graduation.
• College Internship Participates – Must be currently attending college or be registered for the next semester.
• Trade School Apprenticeships – Must be currently attending a trade school or be registered to attend the next semester.
• Medical Student Residencies – Must be currently attending a medical school or be registered to attend the next semester.

The following student categories do not qualify for the program:

• Students enrolled less than half-time.
• Students who can only provide a certificate of one course completed.
• Students enrolled in on-the-job training such as sales training, teaching certification, or adult courses.

How Do I Claim My Discount?

Students can use the ID.me system to confirm their eligibility with their student email address and password. If you do not have a student email address or a student ID number yet, you can verify your status using one of the documents below.

• Provide a copy of your college or university diploma.
• Provide a copy of your final transcript.
• Provide a letter from an accredited college, university, or trade school registrar’s office that states your graduation date and the type of degree or certification earned.
• Provide a copy of your current class schedule.
• Provide a dated letter of intent that confirms your enrollment in the upcoming semester.
